Biosketch.

Arlie Stern is an Ergonomist on staff of the University of California San Francisco/Berkeley Ergonomics Program. In this capacity, she has provided office ergonomics services to a wide range of Bay Area corporations, state agencies, law firms, and non-profit organizations. Services include ergonomics program development, implementation, and assessment, workstation analysis and design, and office ergonomics training for employees, managers, and ergonomics coordinators.

Ms. Stern has been involved in the development and field-testing of a Computer Use Checklist and Guidebook at a major California corporation, comparing different approaches to workstation evaluation. She subsequently assisted with the implementation of an ergonomics program for a large Government agency that included use of this Checklist and Guidebook for training ergonomics coordinators.
