Biosketch.

Kristin Amlie, the senior ergonomist for the Ergonomics Program of the University of California at San Francisco, provides ergonomics consulting services to clients in office, laboratory, manual materials handling, medical, and other environments.

Ms. Amlie has extensive experience performing job analyses and training programs; managing and developing ergonomics programs; creating equipment and design guidelines; and consulting on projects related to design, construction, and technology.

Ms. Amlie studied at UCLA and at Oslo College, School of Physical Therapy, in Oslo, Norway. Her approach to ergonomics is influenced by her training and work experience as a Norwegian physical therapist and from her experience working with ergonomics in Norway and the US.

Ms. Amlie focuses on micro- and macroergonomics geared towards maximizing productivity, preventing injuries, and minimizing risks to healthy and symptomatic employees.
